Today she is both an artist and a licensed architect.
Jennifer has exhibited her paintings in local and national venues and has received awards for her work including: Blossom 2 – The Art of Flowers: Naples Museum of Art, the 2010 LGAA Open Juried Show at the Art Museum of Los Gatos and Going Mobile at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art.

Painting and artistic expression has always been a part of my life. As I child I figure skated, played piano and was always drawing. I also enjoyed math and science. This eventually led to a career in architecture where I am able to be both artistic and technical.  But, as the technical side of being an architect began to dominate my daily work, I rediscovered painting to balance the artistic side of my life.

I primarily focus on the subject of floral still life in my paintings. Painting flowers gives me the opportunity to experiment with many color combinations, and to work with abstract shapes. I want the viewer to feel a part of the subject and to be drawn in to the mood of the painting.
I also enjoy painting the figure and portraits. I’ve been a part of a few local artist groups that hire models to pose for us.
From time to time, I will also paint En Plein Air (aka outdoor painting). I find it both challenging and enjoyable.

Original paintings and limited edition Gilclée are available for sale. Reproductions of paintings can be made in any size by special request. Paintings and prints can be shipped from the Gallery.
