A Moment of Beauty
Gloria Watson grew up in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains where her parents influenced the love of nature. She graduated from Colorado Women’s College.
Marriage took her to live in many areas throughout the world. Settled in Saratoga for the past ten years, the family was involved in a myriad of projects.
To break the routine, she escaped to Saturday art classes at West Valley College. The comradeship, helpful criticism, and exchange of ideas with fellow students created the desire to express those thoughts, sights, and experiences of mood and characterization on canvas.
Though mostly self-taught, she has gained much from the classes at night school, the college, and from a few local artists.
The most wonderful personal effect art has had is the extended vistas in sight – color – seeing things in more depth and detail.
